On the 1st of November the VII Russian-Azerbaijani Interregional Forum was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.
Held at the level of the Governments of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Economic Development, the forum brought together more than 600 people and became a landmark event this year. S.A. Antipov, CCM General Director, also took part in the Forum.
During the Forum, the following issues were addressed:
- deepening of bilateral inter-regional cooperation in the field of industry and energy;
- development of cooperation in the field of tourism and in the humanitarian sphere;
- use of special economic zones for the development of bilateral cooperation.
The event also held contact exchanges for representatives of the business circles of the two countries, which as a result will strengthen the development of both Russian and Azerbaijani business in the Caspian region.
